PLANO, TEXAS – A 17-year-old boy has been arrested after allegedly striking a woman with a hammer while she was jogging at Bob Woodruff Park in Plano, according to information shared by local reporting sources.

Police identified the suspect as Sergio Noe De Nova Duarte, who authorities say fled the scene immediately after the assault. The attack occurred in broad daylight and left nearby residents shaken.

Victim Sustains Non-Life-Threatening Injuries

After the assault, the woman managed to seek help, and Plano Police were called to the scene. She was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
