Stolen North Carolina Gun Found in Connecticut Traffic Stop; East Haven Man Arrested
MERIDEN, CT — A routine traffic stop in Meriden ended in a major arrest after officers discovered a stolen handgun from North Carolina inside the vehicle of a convicted felon from East Haven.
Police say Isaiah Williams was pulled over on Cook Avenue near Summer Street on Thursday, and during the stop, officers located a Kel-Tec PMR30 .22 caliber handgun and a NcStar red dot gun sight inside his BMW. (WFSB)

A records check confirmed that the firearm had been reported stolen out of Fayetteville, NC. Williams, already known to authorities as a convicted felon, is legally prohibited from owning or carrying a firearm.
Arrest, Bond, and Court Date Set
Isaiah Williams was arrested on multiple charges, and his bond was set at $750,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 28.
