Ohio McDonald’s Employee Fired After Using Slur in Dispute Over Burger Bite Allegation

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A routine fast-food order turned into a viral controversy after a woman claimed she received a McDonald’s cheeseburger with a bite taken out of it, leading to a heated exchange with an employee who responded with an offensive slur.

Customer Claims Burger Had “Teeth Marks”

The incident began when a woman and her pregnant friend ordered food from a local McDonald’s drive-thru. Upon opening the bag, they said one of the burgers appeared to have a bite missing.

The customer returned to the drive-thru and confronted staff, insisting that the missing portion was clearly from a person, not a machine.

“The machine took a bite out of the sandwich? It’s a bite with teeth marks,” the woman said in a TikTok video of the incident.

Employee Blames Malfunctioning Bun Machine

The McDonald’s worker countered by claiming the restaurant’s bun machine was malfunctioning, causing chunks of bread to fall off.

The customer dismissed the explanation and accused the employee of lying, escalating the situation. The worker then asked a bizarre question:

“Was it wet?” she asked in the clip, implying moisture could prove whether it was human or machine-caused.

Slur Sparks Outrage

When the customer called the explanation “dumb,” the employee retaliated by using the R-word, a derogatory slur directed at people with disabilities.

The remark immediately drew backlash online. Many viewers condemned the worker’s choice of words, even if they doubted the burger-bite claim.

Internet Divided on Who’s at Fault

While the employee was widely criticized for her offensive language, some social media users suggested the customer may have staged the complaint for attention or free food.

“They definitely trying to pull a fast one,” one TikTok commenter wrote.
“I call bullsh–,” another added.
A third user asked, “Girl… ask for another one or get a refund? Tryna argue with her for what? Over a sandwich?”.

The video quickly racked up thousands of views and comments, dividing the internet over whether the customer’s story was legitimate.

McDonald’s Response

While McDonald’s corporate has not issued a public statement on this particular case, the company has a zero-tolerance policy toward discriminatory language. Local reports indicate the employee has been terminated from her position following the incident.
