Missing South Florida Brothers Found Safe in Georgia Hotel With Non-Custodial Mother

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. – Two young brothers reported missing from South Florida have been found safe in Georgia, authorities confirmed late Thursday night.

Children Located in McDonough Hotel

Police said 11-year-old Akachi Turner and his 3-year-old brother Aizon Turner were discovered at a Residence Inn in McDonough, Georgia, roughly 30 miles south of Atlanta.

The boys were last seen in Riviera Beach, prompting authorities to issue alerts earlier this week as concern grew for their safety.

Non-Custodial Mother in Custody

The children were with their non-custodial mother, 43-year-old Audrey Turner, when they were located. She was arrested at the scene and later booked into Fulton County Jail, where she awaits extradition to Florida.

No vehicle was found at the hotel during the recovery, officials noted.

Community Relief

The case sparked widespread concern in Florida, particularly in Riviera Beach, where neighbors and community members had been following the developments since the boys were first reported missing.

Officials have not yet released details on how investigators tracked the children to the Georgia hotel, but the safe recovery brought relief to both law enforcement and the public.
