Cobb County Man Seriously Injured in Late-Night Crash
AUSTELL, Ga. — A Cobb County man was rushed to the hospital late Thursday after a serious crash along Austell Powder Springs Road.
Authorities identified the driver as 33-year-old Michael Dunagan of Austell, who was behind the wheel of a cream-colored 2006 Chevrolet Silverado when the accident occurred around 10:30 p.m..
Truck Veered Off Road
According to Cobb County Police, Dunagan’s truck veered out of its lane for reasons still under investigation. The vehicle traveled through a parking lot at 4641 Austell Powder Springs Road, crossed over an elevated curb, and slammed into a tree.
The impact left the truck lodged against the tree before coming to a stop.
Driver Taken to Hospital
Emergency responders transported Dunagan to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition. Police have not released updates on his current status.
Investigation Ongoing
Authorities are continuing to investigate what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway. It is not yet clear whether speed, impairment, or another factor contributed to the crash.
