Atlantic County Target Stores Won’t Open Late for Taylor Swift Album Release

MAYS LANDING, N.J. — Taylor Swift fans in Atlantic County hoping to celebrate the superstar’s new album at their local Target stores will be disappointed.

No Late-Night Release at Local Targets

Target announced that more than 500 stores nationwide will stay open past midnight on October 2 to celebrate the release of Swift’s upcoming album, Life of a Showgirl. Fans will be able to purchase Target-exclusive CDs at those locations.

But the Mays Landing and Somers Point Target stores are not on that list. Instead, the closest participating locations are in Deptford and Toms River, requiring local Swifties to travel if they want to join the midnight excitement.

Local Celebration Planned in Atlantic City

Even though Atlantic County’s Targets aren’t taking part, Swift fans still have a nearby option. The Tennessee Beer Hall in Atlantic City will host a Taylor Swift release party on October 3, transforming the venue into a “Taylor Swift Paradise” with music, dancing, and themed activities.

Album Release Excitement

Swift’s Life of a Showgirl is expected to be one of the year’s biggest pop culture events. Target’s exclusive editions have already sparked anticipation, and the nationwide chain is leaning into the celebration — just not in every community.
