Atlanta Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Suspect in Southeast Atlanta Burglary

ATLANTA, GEORGIA — Police are searching for a man accused of breaking into a rented room in Southeast Atlanta and stealing personal belongings, including a television, while the tenant was out of town.

According to the Atlanta Police Department’s Burglary Unit, officers responded to a burglary report at 68 Moury Avenue SW around 6:54 p.m. on October 25. Investigators believe the break-in occurred the previous night, at approximately 2 a.m. on October 24, when the suspect allegedly entered the victim’s rented room illegally.

Surveillance Footage Shows Suspect in Distinctive Clothing

Authorities released surveillance footage showing the suspect wearing a blood-orange long-sleeved shirt and light-colored pants during the burglary. Police said he took multiple personal items, including electronics and a television, before fleeing the scene.

Investigators have not yet identified the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance.

“This is a residential burglary where the victim’s personal space and security were violated,” an Atlanta Police spokesperson said. “We are encouraging anyone who recognizes this individual to come forward.”
