Atlanta Man Finds Hair in Dairy Queen Burger, Says Manager Tried Charging Him Instead of Issuing Refund

ATLANTA, GEORGIA – A Dairy Queen customer’s shocking discovery turned into a viral TikTok after he claimed he found a strand of hair in his food and accused the restaurant’s manager of trying to charge him for a drink rather than giving him a refund.

Hair Discovered in Meal

In the TikTok clip, the man films himself holding up his burger, pointing out the strand of hair tangled in his food. He explains that the problem could have gone unnoticed if he hadn’t checked before eating.

When he confronted the manager at the counter, the exchange quickly escalated. “The right thing for you to do would have been to give me some money back and give me something for free,” the man argued, noting that instead, the manager allegedly tried to charge him for another item.

Public Warning to Diners

The customer then turned his phone toward other patrons in the restaurant, warning them: “Hair in my food, y’all. So make sure y’all check your food because it was hair.”

He continued criticizing the manager’s response, saying: “You could have been better than that. You could have gave me some free food. But you want to charge me. You want to be rude and stuff like that. And you didn’t have to do that. So now I’m recording you so that everybody can know not to come here.”

Manager Issues Refund

After continued pressure, the customer insisted on a full refund. “Yeah, you gonna refund me. It was some funky fries you were trying to… Make sure you give me all my money,” he demanded.

The manager eventually handed over his cash, and the man ended the video sarcastically thanking staff: “Thank you so much. I appreciate you. Thank you.” As he walked out, he added, “Won’t be back to this one.”

Online Reaction

Viewers quickly chimed in with disbelief over the manager’s alleged behavior. “Charging you is crazy,” one commenter wrote. Another agreed: “Yep, won’t be going.”

Others criticized the chain itself: “That’s what you get for getting food at Dairy Queen,” one person joked. Another took issue with the customer’s own reaction, writing: “Found hair in his food then turned around and said he should have gotten free food is diabolical.”

Some users sided with the customer’s frustration, noting they would have reacted more strongly: “You better than me. Ain’t no way you utter out yo mouth to hand over more money after hair was in my food smh.”
