Eden Man Charged in DUI Crash That Killed 11-Year-Old in Henry County
HENRY COUNTY, Va. — A North Carolina man has been charged with driving under the influence after a deadly head-on crash in Henry County, Virginia, that killed an 11-year-old boy and a woman over the weekend.
Details of the Crash
The wreck happened on the evening of September 20 along Axton Road near Morgan Ford Road, according to the Virginia State Police.
Investigators said a 2010 Cadillac driven by Charles Boulding, 60, of Eden, N.C., crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a 2009 Nissan.
The Nissan’s driver, Misty Holland, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her passenger, Keontae Hilderbrand, 11, also died from his injuries. Two other passengers in the Nissan were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Charges and Investigation
Boulding was hospitalized following the crash but has since been charged with DUI.
State police confirmed the case remains under investigation, and further charges are possible as evidence is reviewed.
This tragedy has left both Henry County and Eden communities mourning the loss of a young child and a mother.
