Police identified the victim as 28-year-old Malik Taylor, a TikTok creator who had recently moved to the Charlotte area from Memphis.

According to Concord Police, the crash occurred on August 20 near an apartment complex across from Concord Mills mall. Taylor was driving a 2016 Nissan Rogue when the vehicle veered off the roadway and dropped about 20 feet.
No other vehicles were involved, and investigators said alcohol was a factor. Police also confirmed that no foul play is suspected.
