Sunny Skies and Scattered Storms Expected in South Carolina’s Upstate This Weekend
GREENVILLE, S.C. – After a week of steady rainfall, residents in South Carolina’s Upstate can look forward to warmer, drier conditions this weekend, according to Chief Meteorologist Chris Justus.
Friday Brings Warm, Partly Cloudy Skies
The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies on Friday, with temperatures climbing to around 80°F. While a few isolated showers or pop-up storms could develop, the region will see a noticeable break from the recent stretch of rain.
Weekend Outlook: Mostly Dry, Slightly Warmer
Saturday is expected to be mostly to partly sunny, offering prime conditions for outdoor activities across the Upstate and nearby Western North Carolina.
By Sunday afternoon, however, scattered showers and storms could return as moisture levels rise. Despite the chance of rain, most of the weekend will remain dry for much of the area.
Looking Ahead: Near-Normal Temperatures Next Week
High temperatures are forecast to soar closer to seasonal averages by midweek next week, bringing daily chances for isolated to scattered afternoon storms typical for August in the region.
Meteorologists recommend keeping an umbrella handy for Sunday afternoon plans but say the overall pattern is trending toward more stable summer weather.
