ASHEBORO, N.C. — Authorities have launched an urgent search for 7-year-old Liam A. King, a non-verbal child with cognitive impairments who was last seen leaving on foot Sunday evening near Forest Hills Drive, according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.

Child’s Description Released

Deputies described Liam as approximately 3 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing around 55 pounds, with shoulder-length brown/black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing:

  • A light blue, black, and gray Nike sweatshirt
  • A gray Nike T-shirt
  • Black sweatpants
  • Blue Sonic-themed socks
  • Tan-colored tennis shoes

Special Safety Concerns

Officials stressed that Liam is non-verbal and may become frightened and run if approached. For this reason, authorities are urging the public not to attempt direct contact if he is spotted.

Instead, residents should immediately call 911 to report his location and provide as many details as possible.
