Woman Shot in Face, Man Wounded in Arm After Argument at Southwest Atlanta Apartment

ATLANTA, Ga. — An early morning argument at a southwest Atlanta apartment complex turned violent Monday, leaving a woman and a man hospitalized with gunshot wounds, police confirmed.

Victims Identified in Shooting

The incident happened just before 6 a.m. Monday at The Gallery at 1960 apartments on Alison Court SW.

When officers arrived, they found a 23-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. Police said she was alert, conscious, and breathing before being transported to a hospital for treatment.

Shortly afterward, investigators learned a 30-year-old man had also been shot in the right arm. He managed to take himself to a hospital for medical attention.

Argument Escalated Into Gunfire

According to Atlanta police, the shooting stemmed from a dispute between the man and woman, which escalated into violence. Detectives are still working to determine exactly what led to the gunfire.

At this time, authorities have not announced whether charges will be filed. Police confirmed the investigation is ongoing.
