Woman Accused of Making Threats Against McMichael High School in Mayodan Arrested
MAYODAN, NORTH CAROLINA – A woman accused of making violent threats against McMichael High School has been arrested and charged after deputies say she streamed the threats live on social media.

According to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were alerted by school administrators and the school resource officer at McMichael High School that a woman was posting threats aimed at children during a live stream.
Detectives and deputies responded immediately to the school to investigate the situation.
Suspect Identified and Charged
The woman was identified as Heather Brooke Clarke, 37. She was arrested and charged with felony communicating threats of mass violence on educational property.
Authorities confirmed that Clarke had been on the school grounds during the live stream but did not enter the building itself.
Bond and Detention
Clarke was booked into the Rockingham County Detention Facility under a $500,000 secured bond. In addition, the Rockingham County School System has issued a ban prohibiting her from entering any schools within the district.
