Wisconsin Man Arrested for Allegedly Bringing North Carolina Teen to His Home
JANESVILLE, Wis. — A 29-year-old man from Janesville has been arrested after allegedly traveling to North Carolina and returning with a teenage girl to his home in Wisconsin, according to WMTV 15 News.
Arrest Follows Multi-State Investigation
The incident came to light when the Clay County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina alerted the Janesville Police Department (JPD) about the suspect’s trip. Following the tip, JPD set up surveillance at the man’s home.
Officers reported seeing the suspect and the girl get into a car parked in his driveway. Shortly afterward, police moved in and arrested him without incident.
Charges and Custody
After obtaining a search warrant for the man’s residence, investigators gathered additional evidence. The suspect was booked into the Rock County Jail and is facing multiple charges, including:
- Trafficking of a Child
- Child Enticement
- Sexual Intercourse with a Child Over 16
The teenage girl was safely released to her father.
