Two Arrested in Connection with Deadly 2024 Atlanta Construction Site Shooting
ATLANTA, Ga. — Nearly a year after a fatal shooting at a southwest Atlanta construction site, police say two suspects have been arrested and charged in the case.
Arrests Made After Yearlong Investigation
Atlanta police, working with the FBI Violent Crime Task Force, confirmed the arrests of 24-year-old Taryn Dorsey and 18-year-old Kendrick Miliam.
- Dorsey was taken into custody Monday and booked into Fulton County Jail.
- Miliam was arrested earlier on Sept. 9 and faces the same charges.
Both men are charged with murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and entering auto.
Shooting Details
The charges stem from a homicide on Oct. 26, 2024, at a construction site on Cascade Place SW.
Police said officers responded around 11:27 a.m. and found a 23-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released details about what led up to the shooting or how the suspects were connected to the victim.
Ongoing Investigation
While arrests have been made, Atlanta police continue to investigate the case. Detectives are urging anyone with additional information about the October 2024 shooting to come forward.
