Teen Killed, Another Injured in Double Shooting on Winston-Salem’s W. 3rd Street
WINSTON-SALEM, NORTH CAROLINA — A double shooting late Sunday night has left one teenager dead and another recovering, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.

Police said officers responded to the 100 block of W. 3rd Street around 10:21 p.m. after receiving a call about gunfire. When they arrived, they found two teenage victims, ages 16 and 17, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Victim Identified, Case Now Homicide
Authorities confirmed Wednesday that the 16-year-old victim died from his injuries. The 17-year-old was treated and later released. Police are now treating the case as a homicide.
