Pregnant California Woman Vanished After Jack in the Box Stop — Two Years Later, She and Her Baby Are Still Missing

BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA — What began as a simple errand turned into a mystery that still haunts a California family more than two years later. Cajairah Fraise, a 22-year-old pregnant woman from Moreno Valley, disappeared without a trace after stopping at a Jack in the Box restaurant in February 2023.

Cajairah was eight months pregnant at the time and excited about the arrival of her first child, due in March. Her family says she had been in good spirits earlier that day — but something went terribly wrong that night.

The Last Known Moments

According to her mother, Karah Fraise, Cajairah was running errands with her parents on February 23, 2023, when she asked to be dropped off at her grandmother’s house. The family stopped at a Jack in the Box in Beaumont, where her parents went through the drive-thru.

Karah told Dateline NBC that her daughter got out of the vehicle while they were ordering. When her husband pulled forward, he could still see Cajairah standing near the drive-thru lane. He backed up briefly to check again — and she was gone.

“The last time they saw her was when she was standing at the end of the drive-thru,” Karah said. “She literally disappeared in minutes.”

Captured on Surveillance — Then Gone

The last known footage of Cajairah shows her walking behind a nearby school located next to the Jack in the Box. After that, there has been no trace of her.

Authorities searched the surrounding area extensively, but no physical evidence or personal belongings were ever found. Beaumont police said they received multiple tips in the weeks following her disappearance, but none led to Cajairah’s whereabouts.

Her family says they have endured two and a half years of heartbreak and unanswered questions.

A Mother’s Pain — and Two Missing Lives

Cajairah would have given birth shortly after her disappearance, meaning there are now two missing people — a young woman and the baby she was carrying.

Her family continues to post her story online, urging anyone with information to come forward.

“She was excited about her baby. She talked about becoming a mother all the time,” her mother said. “Someone knows what happened. We just need the truth.”

Ongoing Search and Public Appeal

Investigators have not confirmed whether foul play is suspected, but family members believe Cajairah may have been abducted or lured away under false pretenses. They are pleading with the public to review old photos, surveillance footage, or social media posts from that week in February 2023.

Police describe Cajairah as African American, approximately 5’4” tall, with a medium build and black curly hair. She was last seen wearing white pants and a black jacket.

Anyone with information about her disappearance is asked to contact the Beaumont Police Department or Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.

As of today, no arrests have been made — and no one knows what happened to Cajairah or her unborn child.
