One Dead After Truck Collides With Lawn Mower in Richland County
COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Richland County after a truck collided with a lawn mower Saturday night.
Crash on Sloan Road
Troopers said the crash occurred on Sloan Road near Dorichee Lane, about one mile north of Columbia. Both the 2015 Dodge Ram and the zero-turn lawn mower were traveling east when the truck struck the back of the mower.
Victim Dies at Hospital
The driver of the lawn mower was rushed to Prisma Health Richland, where they later died from their injuries.
Officials confirmed the truck driver was not injured in the crash.
Investigation Ongoing
The incident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
