ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Police in St. Charles County arrested a man early Saturday morning after he allegedly broke into a Circle K gas station, caused major damage, and then stole only a few beef sticks before leaving the scene.

Authorities said the incident happened around 2:20 a.m. at the Circle K located on Caulks Hill Road. When officers arrived, they discovered the store’s glass front door shattered and the entrance area covered in broken glass.
Investigators reported that the suspect caused a felony-level amount of property damage during the break-in. However, the value of what he took — just a handful of beef sticks — amounted to a misdemeanor theft.
