FCSO Arrest Palm Coast Man After Monthlong Investigation Reveals S*xual Relationship with Minor

PALM COAST, FL — The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) has arrested a Palm Coast man following a monthlong investigation that revealed he was engaged in an unlawful s*xual relationship with a minor. Authorities said the case began after a concerned parent discovered inappropriate communication between the man and their child.

According to a statement released by the sheriff’s office, detectives launched a detailed inquiry that uncovered evidence confirming the suspect had been “dating” the underage victim. The parent immediately contacted authorities upon realizing the nature of the relationship, prompting swift action from FCSO’s Major Case Unit.

Investigation Leads to Arrest

During the investigation, deputies gathered electronic evidence and communication records that corroborated the parent’s report. After obtaining sufficient probable cause, investigators executed an arrest warrant and took the suspect into custody this week.

Images released by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office show deputies detaining the man late Thursday evening. Sheriff’s officials confirmed the suspect was formally charged and transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility in Bunnell.

Sheriff’s Office Statement

In a news release, Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly commended the parent for promptly coming forward and emphasized the importance of community vigilance in cases involving potential child exploitation.

“This arrest is the result of a vigilant parent who recognized the warning signs and acted quickly,” Staly said. “We urge every parent to stay involved in their child’s digital life — it can literally prevent a tragedy.”

Sheriff Staly also reminded residents that online and in-person grooming of minors remains a growing concern, and his office continues to prioritize protecting children from s*xual predators through proactive investigations.

Ongoing Legal Process

The suspect is currently being held on multiple felony charges related to unlawful s*xual activity with a minor, according to FCSO. His name has not yet been publicly released pending formal court proceedings.

Authorities have not disclosed additional details about the victim to protect their privacy.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging anyone with information about similar cases or suspicious activity involving minors to report it immediately through the sheriff’s tip line at 386-313-4911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS (8477).
