Drive-By Shooting Damages 3 Spartanburg Homes and Car, Police Say
SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Police are investigating after a drive-by shooting damaged three homes and a car in Spartanburg early Saturday morning.
According to the Spartanburg Police Department, officers responded to Avant Street around 12:40 a.m. after reports of multiple shots fired.
Houses and Vehicle Struck
Investigators said three occupied homes were struck by gunfire during the incident. A Toyota sedan parked nearby was also hit, with at least one bullet entering through the passenger side and exiting through the rear driver’s-side window.
Despite the damage, no injuries were reported. Police said the occupants of all three homes were inside at the time of the shooting.
Ongoing Investigation
Authorities have not released any information about possible suspects or a motive. The Spartanburg Police Department said the investigation remains active.
Residents in the area expressed concern over the violence, noting that bullets striking occupied houses posed a serious risk to families inside.
