Viral Video Shows ICE Agents Breaking Down Door as Mom Screams, Baby Cries During Arrest in Washington

WASHINGTON STATE — A disturbing video circulating across social media shows U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents breaking down a door and storming into a room, leaving a woman screaming and a baby crying in terror as two men are detained at gunpoint. The footage, which has now gone viral, has triggered widespread outrage online and renewed criticism over ICE’s aggressive arrest tactics.

Disturbing Scene Caught on Video

The viral clip, filmed inside a residential room, begins with the door closed and a woman holding a baby nearby. Suddenly, the door is forced open as ICE agents shout, “Police! Don’t move! Hands up!” while pointing their firearms toward the room’s occupants.

As two men raise their hands and approach the doorway, a baby begins to wail loudly, filling the tense scene with panic and confusion. The mother’s voice can be heard screaming as the agents continue shouting orders.

According to The Independent, the incident took place in Washington State, where ICE agents were attempting to arrest a “previously removed violent criminal illegal alien from Mexico.” Officials said that individual escaped and remains at large, while two other men were detained and taken to a nearby detention center in Tacoma.

Mother and Family Left Traumatized

Speaking to reporters, the baby’s grandmother, Gloria Bautista, said her daughter, Mari Magana, was “deeply traumatized” by the incident.

“The mother is so traumatized that anything scares her — she’s shaking all the time,” Bautista said.

Magana later shared the video herself on social media, writing:

“This is unfair. They scared my baby. We are not criminals to be treated that way, let alone have guns pointed at us.”

The clip has now amassed hundreds of thousands of views, drawing outrage from human rights advocates, immigration activists, and everyday viewers who called the agents’ actions “excessive and terrifying.”

Public Outrage and Questions of Legality

Social media erupted after the footage spread, with users questioning both the legality and morality of the raid.

“How can this be legal?” one commenter wrote.

Another added, “Is this a great America? Are people okay with this?”

A third viewer expressed, “Humanity — where has it gone?”

Many users condemned the level of force used in the presence of a child, while others demanded an investigation into how the operation was carried out.

ICE and Homeland Security Respond

In response to the viral backlash, a senior Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official denied that anyone was injured during the incident.

“No injuries were sustained,” the official said. “ICE officers attempted to pull this criminal illegal alien over in a vehicle stop. He attempted to evade arrest and rammed into a United States Postal Service vehicle before fleeing on foot into an apartment.”

According to DHS, the target suspect managed to escape, while two other undocumented individuals from Mexico found inside the apartment were taken into ICE custody.

The official maintained that agents were acting within their authority during the operation.

Renewed Debate on Immigration Enforcement

This latest incident has reignited the national conversation on ICE’s tactics and accountability, particularly in situations involving children and families. Critics argue that aggressive enforcement methods not only traumatize those present but also erode trust within immigrant communities.

Civil rights organizations are calling for an independent review of the operation, with some urging reforms to how ICE conducts raids in residential areas.

As of Friday, ICE has not released body camera footage or additional details about the detained individuals or the escaped suspect.
