Silver Alert Issued for Missing 79-Year-Old Bremerton Woman with Dementia Symptoms
BREMERTON, Wash. — Authorities have issued a Silver Alert for a 79-year-old woman reported missing from Bremerton, saying she may be unable to return home on her own due to dementia symptoms.
Missing Since Thursday Morning
The woman, identified as Linda Evans, was last seen around 10:30 a.m. on September 25 leaving her residence off Russell Road. She was accompanied by 48-year-old Donovan Foshay, who lived in the same apartment complex.
Witnesses said the two were carrying suitcases when they departed together. The direction of travel is unknown.
Companion Also Missing
Police said Foshay returned to the apartment complex later that day but has since disappeared as well. Evans, meanwhile, has not been seen since Thursday morning.
Authorities are concerned for Evans’ safety given her dementia symptoms and are urging the public to remain vigilant.
Statewide Silver Alert
The Washington State Patrol, acting on behalf of the Bremerton Police Department, issued the Silver Alert to broaden the search.
Anyone with information is asked to contact local law enforcement immediately.
Community members in Bremerton say the case has sparked worry for vulnerable residents, particularly seniors with memory conditions who may wander or find themselves in unsafe situations.
