Several Injured in Multi-Car Crash on GA-400 Near North Springs MARTA Station
ATLANTA, Ga. – A major crash on GA-400 northbound near the North Springs MARTA Station left several people injured and caused heavy delays for commuters early Wednesday morning.
Chain-Reaction Crash
According to Sandy Springs police, the collision occurred just after 6 a.m. north of the Abernathy Road/Dunwoody Road exit. The wreck involved six to seven vehicles in what officers described as a chain reaction crash.
At least two to three people were taken to area hospitals for treatment. One individual sustained a broken leg.
Traffic Impact
The crash initially shut down all northbound lanes of GA-400. By 7:30 a.m., police reopened three lanes, though traffic backups stretched for miles as morning commuters were forced to navigate around the crash site.
One of the vehicles remained at the scene hours later as authorities worked to clear the roadway.
