Hubert Boulevard Shut Down for Repairs

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) announced that Hubert Boulevard will be closed in both directions starting today for the replacement of a crossline pipe. The closure is expected to impact local traffic for several days.

Detour Routes in Place

Motorists traveling in the area will be rerouted from Old Highway 172 to N.C. 24 to reach Hubert Boulevard. Officials are urging drivers to remain alert and cautious when traveling near the work zone.

Project Timeline

NCDOT expects the pipe replacement to be completed by Friday, September 12, weather permitting. Once finished, the repairs will improve stormwater drainage and help protect roadway integrity.
