Motorcyclist Identified After Fatal Crash on Columbus Road in Macon
MACON, Ga. – Authorities have identified the motorcyclist killed in a Thursday morning crash on Columbus Road as 23-year-old Joseph Bradley Parham, according to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
Details of the Crash
The incident happened around 9 a.m. near the intersection of Columbus West Drive. Investigators say a Ford minivan traveling west on Columbus Road collided with Parham’s motorcycle, which was headed east.
The crash occurred as the minivan was turning into a local business.
Aftermath and Investigation
Parham was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:58 a.m. His family has been notified.
All lanes of Columbus Road were temporarily shut down during the investigation, which is being conducted by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
