Motorcycle Crash Shuts Down Main Street in Woodstock

WOODSTOCK, Ga. — A motorcycle crash brought traffic to a halt in downtown Woodstock Monday night, forcing police to shut down all lanes of Main Street at Johnston Farm Lane.

Roadway Shut Down

The Woodstock Police Department confirmed it was a single-vehicle motorcycle accident that led to the closure. First responders worked at the scene to clear the roadway, asking drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until further notice.

Police Advisory to Motorists

“Please avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible,” police said in a statement. The closure caused significant traffic delays for commuters who rely on Main Street, a key thoroughfare in the area.

As of 9:25 p.m., officials reported that southbound lanes had reopened, but northbound traffic remained restricted.

Investigation Ongoing

Authorities have not yet released details on possible injuries, the cause of the crash, or when the roadway will fully reopen.

Drivers are encouraged to check real-time traffic apps or follow updates on the Woodstock Police Department’s social media channels for the latest information.
