EASLEY, SOUTH CAROLINA — Four men are in custody after an armed robbery at a Belk department store in Easley Friday evening, where one suspect entered the store wearing a ski mask and body armor, according to police.

The Easley Police Department said officers responded around 6:30 p.m. Friday to a 911 call from employees inside the Belk store at 6101 Calhoun Memorial Highway.
Multiple officers rushed to the scene, securing the area within minutes and detaining all four suspects without incident.
Suspects Used Fear and Intimidation
Investigators determined the group entered the store with the intent to cause fear among employees and shoppers.
“One of the suspects was wearing a ski-style mask and body armor,” police said. “He patted his side as if armed, leading an employee to believe he had a weapon.”
Police have not confirmed whether a firearm was found at the scene, but they said the suspects’ behavior was clearly meant to simulate a violent robbery scenario.
Charges Filed
Two of the suspects were charged with breach of peace, high and aggravated, while the other two were charged with breach of peace.
All four are being held at the Easley Police Department awaiting bond hearings.
Authorities have not yet released the suspects’ names, citing the ongoing investigation.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported among employees, customers, or officers during the response.
