Florida Woman Finds Worm Inside Taco Bell Meal: ‘We Both Already Ate One’
FLORIDA — A Florida woman says a Taco Bell order turned into a nightmare after she discovered a worm moving inside her taco — only after she and her friend had already eaten one.
Viral Video Shows Disturbing Find
Content creator Jade (@jpatchen) posted a viral TikTok that has been viewed more than 4.9 million times, showing what appeared to be a thin white worm wriggling between lettuce, chicken, and cheese inside her taco.
“Taco Bell has a new flavor taco on the menu (we both already ate one taco before seeing this) (traumatized),” Jade captioned the clip.
Medical Diagnosis Follows
In a follow-up video, Jade shared paperwork confirming she was diagnosed with pinworm infection and prescribed albendazole, an anti-parasitic medication used to treat multiple types of worm infections.
Pinworm infections, while often uncomfortable, are rarely considered dangerous. Doctors say they spread through microscopic eggs that can survive on surfaces and food, leading to itching, stomach pain, or restless sleep.
Food Safety Concerns Raised
The video reignited online debate about food safety at major fast-food chains. Commenters expressed disgust and fear:
- “Seeing stuff like this makes me realize I don’t inspect my food enough…”
- “Girl, I love Taco Bell, don’t do this to me.”
- “NO quiero Taco Bell.”
Others admitted they often eat quickly without checking their meals, a habit the video made them rethink.
This unsettling case has sparked conversation about fast-food safety and customer awareness. Do you inspect your meals before eating, or trust restaurants to get it right? Share your experiences in the comments and continue the discussion at SaludaStandard-Sentinel.com.
