Five North Texas Teens Arrested After Police Say They Fired Toward Occupied Fort Worth Homes, Neighbors Reported Bullets “Passing By Their Heads”

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Fort Worth police say five teenagers were arrested after residents called 911 to report reckless gunfire aimed toward occupied homes, with some neighbors telling dispatchers they could hear bullets “passing by their heads.”

What Neighbors Reported During the Gunfire Scare

According to the details provided, the shooting prompted multiple 911 calls from frightened residents who believed shots were being fired dangerously close to them and into a neighborhood where homes were occupied. The concern, neighbors said, wasn’t just noise — it was the feeling that rounds were traveling through the area at head level, creating an immediate risk to anyone outside or inside nearby houses.

Who Was Arrested and What Charges They Face

Police arrested Darius Chandler and Izac Villarreal, both 19, along with Alfredo Jimenez, Draylon Williams, and Donovan Wright, all 18. All five are reported to be facing two counts of deadly conduct and one count of discharging a firearm in certain municipalities, based on the information shared.

How Investigators Tracked the Suspects to a Vehicle

Officers were dispatched just after 9:20 p.m. following reports of a person with a weapon. Fort Worth police said the department’s Real Time Crime Center reviewed surveillance footage that allegedly showed several individuals firing guns recklessly in the area and toward nearby homes. Investigators then identified a license plate connected to the suspects’ vehicle, helping officers locate the car.

High-Risk Traffic Stop Leads to Firearms Recovery

Police later conducted what they described as a high-risk traffic stop. During the stop, officers said one passenger removed a handgun from his waistband and shoved it under the front passenger seat in an apparent attempt to hide it. Authorities reported recovering multiple firearms from the vehicle and also finding marijuana inside a backpack. All five teens were removed from the vehicle without further incident.
