Saluda Nursing Center Issues
Report During Quarantine

The staff of Saluda Nursing Center cannot thank the community enough for your support during this difficult time.  We appreciate all the generous donations including cloth masks, bingo prizes, painting our windows, etc.
We realize how difficult this time is for our residents and their families and friends.    Please, know that we are doing all we can to take care of your loved ones who mean so much to all of you and us.  Thank you for understanding our visitation policies and the strict guidelines that we are having to go by currently.  We are discouraging family and friends from bringing items to the facility temporarily unless it is an immediate need.  This is for the safety of our residents during this time.  Ensuring our residents are in a safe and healthy environment is our first priority.
Saluda Nursing Center will continue to follow the guidance from CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services), CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), and SC DHEC (SC Department of Health and Environmental Control).    Saluda Nursing Center staff members are making efforts in different ways to try to promote contact between residents and their loved ones.  This includes phone calls, writing letters, skyping, and window visits.
Saluda Nursing Center is so proud of our staff who are stepping up during this difficult time.  Staff members are working harder and longer hours to help meet the needs of our residents by doing things like singing and dancing in the halls to bring smiles to our residents’ faces.  We appreciate their dedication and love they have for our residents.
Staff nurse Kristi Robertson shared, “Staff are desperately trying to keep daily/weekly routines the same and explain one hundred times a day why we can’t gather in the dining hall.  We have all suddenly become beauticians, barbers, therapists, artists, and many things we never thought we could.  At the end of this we will know for sure what we are made of and just how strong we can be, especially as a team.”
Thank you again for your continued support, love, and prayers.  Saluda Nursing Center loves our residents and this community!
