EMS Back to School
Bash Announced

Saluda County EMS is proud to announce our First Annual Public Safety Back to School Bash and Stuff an Ambulance Campaign.  Come out and join us at Saluda Town Park from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday August 5 for fun for all ages!

We have partnered with Saluda County Sherriff’s Department, Saluda Police Department, Saluda County Fire agencies, Saluda High School’s HOSA organization, the varsity cheer team, Over Looked Enterprise, and other public safety personnel to make this event one for the entire community to enjoy.  Ambulance units, police cruisers, fire trucks, and even the K-9 unit will be available to interact with.  Tents advocating against bullying and domestic violence will also be present alongside Hands Only CPR training.  We are also excited to have activities such as face painting, a bouncy house, an inflatable water slide, and even a dunk booth at our event.  Donate a dollar to dunk your favorite public safety personnel.  Hotdog plates will be provided while supplies last, free of charge.  Car-seat checks will be made available to the community to assure proper child restraint in all vehicles; and we are currently corresponding with the Red Cross with the hopes of providing a blood drive, as well!
Moreover, we are asking for school supply donations that will be distributed throughout our county’s schools at the beginning of the school year.  Those supplies will be used to assist those in need.  Supplies such as notebook paper, pencils, crayons, erasers, and pencil sharpeners will all be greatly appreciated.  Donations may be dropped off at EMS Headquarters located behind Saluda Nursing Center.  Supplies may also be held until the Back to School Bash where we plan to literally “stuff” the back of one of our ambulances with school supplies.
Flyers have been distributed and are available throughout town and at local businesses.  We hope to see you there!
