Saluda Fire Department
Responds To Scenes
The Saluda Fire Department had a busy week.
The department responded to multiple weather related calls over the holiday weekend, including a tree falling on a house, causing structural collapse. Two individuals were trapped inside the structure. SFD safely extricated them with no injuries.
SFD responded to a working single wide trailer fire Wed., Dec. 28. in the Town of Saluda.
Upon arrival on scene firefighters faced heavy fire conditions. An aggressive offensive interior attack, along with primary search were completed.
The fire was placed under control in a few minutes. Extensive overhaul was needed to put out hotspots. One occupant was transported to Augusta Burn center via Saluda County EMS.
